 # Privacy Policy — Medication Reminder

Medication Reminder ("the App", "we", "us") is built to be **private by design**.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used,

and your choices. By using the App you agree to this policy.

## 1. The short version

- We do **not** collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

- The App works **fully offline** and requires **no account or login**.

- Everything you enter is stored **only on your device**.

- There are **no ads, no analytics, and no third-party trackers**.

## 2. Information we collect

**We do not collect any personal information.** The App contains no analytics

SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party code

that gathers or transmits your data.

The content you create in the App — including medication names, types, dosages,

notes, schedules, reminder settings, and dose history (taken / skipped / missed)

— is stored **locally on your device** using an on-device database (SQLite) and

your device's local app-settings storage. This information is never sent to us

or to any third party.

We do not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, advertising IDs, or

usage analytics.

## 3. How your information is used

Your locally stored data is used solely to provide the App's features on your

device: showing reminders, displaying your dashboard and timeline, calculating

adherence statistics, and keeping your medication history.

Processing happens entirely on your device. We have no servers and never receive

your data.

## 4. Permissions and why they are used

- **Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):** to display medication reminders.

- **Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM):** to deliver

  reminders at the exact scheduled dose time (a time-critical function).

- **Vibration (VIBRATE):** optional vibration when a reminder fires.

- **Run after restart (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED):** to re-schedule your reminders

  after the device reboots so you don't miss a dose.

These permissions are used only to provide on-device reminder functionality.

They are **not** used to collect, profile, or transmit information.

## 5. Data sharing and disclosure

We do **not** share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to anyone. The App has no

servers, no cloud storage, and makes no network requests with your medication

data.

**Export feature (user-initiated):** If you choose to export your history, the

App creates a CSV file and opens your device's standard share sheet so you can

send it where you wish (for example, to your doctor or family). What happens to

an exported file after you share it is under your control and outside this App.

## 6. Data storage and security

Your data is stored locally within the App's private storage area on your device

and is protected by your device's operating-system sandboxing and any

device-level security you have enabled (screen lock, encryption). Because we

never transmit or store your data off-device, there is no server-side data that

could be breached.

## 7. Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can permanently erase

**all** App data at any time:

- In the App: **Settings → Reset app data**, or

- By uninstalling the App from your device.

Because all data is local, uninstalling removes it completely.

## 8. Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including

children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). As

the App collects no data at all, no personal information from children is

gathered.

## 9. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar)

Because we do not collect or hold any of your personal data, there is no data on

our side to access, correct, port, or delete. You retain full control of the

data on your device and can view, edit, or erase it at any time within the App.

## 10. International users

The App functions the same everywhere and transfers no data across borders

(there are no network transfers at all). Your data simply stays on your device.

## 11. Medical disclaimer

Medication Reminder is a personal reminder and tracking tool. It does **not**

provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for

professional medical guidance. Always follow the instructions of your healthcare

provider and pharmacist. Never rely solely on the App for critical medication

timing. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

## 12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date

above reflects the latest version, which will be provided with the App and at

its published policy URL. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes

acceptance of the revised policy.
